Hey Awesome ones,
Good wine and good friends made for the perfect weekend for Bill and I a few days ago.
We were invited to enjoy a Chef’s prepared 5 course dinner with wine parings in amongst the barrels in a top winery cellar followed by an outdoor concert underneath the stars.
It was a perfect start as you can see in our short video to a weekend of a tour of wineries from humble family-run vineyards to massive chateau or castle-like estates.
We cannot endorse this type of mini vacation enough as we enjoyed tastings, great farm-fresh foods including a variety of cheeses, gift shops, music and fun!
We would suggest you have a designated driver, take a cab or other form of pick up/drop off transportation as the parings and tastings really add up, but most wine regions do have those services available.
We came home with new “finds” in red and white wines and of course another great memory to chalk up on our Awesome over 50 journey.
