Who made up these age rules anyway? “You can’t wear jeans after 50”, “Cut your hair short after 40”. I’ve heard so many rules that I’ve got to bring forward my authentic self and break a few of them! Just like body-shaming I think there’s a new thing our there that I’m going to call age-shaming. Hey, I’m not saying that you should wear hot pants and try to look 18 again. I also know that sometimes what you wear has to be “occasion appropriate”, like your conservative “uniform” for work or if you got invited to the royal wedding. But after business hours and when the royal family forgot to send you an invitation that’s “your” time. In this video I talk passionately on how we need to finally embrace our authentic or selves. I have a photo shoot in a few days, something I’ve never done before. It’s for a model agency called 123 models. They are looking for mature models I’m to bring with me 3 outfits. My question is what kind of outfits do I take with me? I’m 61 and not to sure how to go about this whole thing. I look firward to hearing from you.
Hmmm…I would say…”just be YOU”. Bring more than 3 outfits (maybe 6) Show your fun side, your date night look and maybe a casual look. That should cover all the bases. Remember to change your makeup to a more smokey eye for the date-night, dressy look. This sounds like a great day…ENJOY!!!
