Hey Awesome over 50’s,
I’ve finally grown up.
I look in the mirror and I like who’s looking back. At 61, I see the laugh lines, silver hair and plumpness in my build and say to myself … It’s so “me”.
I grew up when I finally realized well… I’m 61. Once you embrace your real age life’s a lot more fun!
I now can go out for dinner and eat what I want (as long as I exercise and keep on eating my fruits and veggies at home that is). Although I moisturize my skin and treat those nasty brown spots I know that my laugh lines say “I’ve laughed a lot in 60 years and here’s my proof”. I haven’t been or will never get plastic surgery or botox. It’s just my opinion but I’ve decided I’ll grow old gracefully and present myself the way God intended me to look.
As for my silvery, grey hair it took me a long time to let my silver locks shine. They’re finally lighting up my face for the world to see and I’m proud to say “I’ve earned every last one of them”!
So how about you? Are you embracing the remarkable, maturing “you”?
I’d love to hear from you and share your insights with all of us as we share and embark on this wonderful journey of being “awesome over 50”.

57 and refuse to ‘act my age’ – whatever that is??!! Haha!
Ha Ha, How do you “act your age” anyway? Just have fun, we’ve earned our choices at our age, whatever that is LOL
Fantastic Rosanne! “Acting” your age means nothing , just be “you”
I have not dyed my hair in over a year
Letting the grey shine through
And it’s unbelievable how many young girls as young as in their 20s complimenting me on my color
I’m so glad you’re letting your true self shine through! You probably also have an inner glow that’s so attractive.
