Hey Awesome ones, did you know how many health benefits you can get from hiking or going on a nature trail, even for just a few hours? We all know that trees give off oxygen but studies have proven that it also helps raise your dopamine levels that are great for the happiness feelings. They have also found that the smells of the forest, primarily the essential oils from trees such as pine and cedar, were found to decrease the cortisol stress hormone in us humans. Add this to the exercise you’re getting and it makes for a wonderful and rejuvenating morning or afternoon out. What is also wonderful about hikes and trails is that many cities have parks with large areas that have been preserved just for us to venture off and spend the day getting away from the hustle and bustle and be totally unplugged.
